Known for her deep, colorful timbre and exquisite musical expression, flutist Yerin Lee embarked on her musical journey at age 14 when she moved to France. There, she completed her regular middle and high school education, studied Musicology at Sorbonne University in Paris and graduated from CNR de Paris. Additionally, she had the privilege of studying with the world-renowned flutist Philippe Bernold at the Conservatoire de Lyon and completed her Meisterklassee under the guidance of András Adorján at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich, Germany.

Yerin Lee’s musical prowess has garnered widespread recognition. She won the Seoul New Music Artist Competition and was chosen as one of Korea’s Top 10 Young Artists by Flute & Flutist magazine. Her achievements include becoming the Artist of the Seoul Arts Center and serving as the principal flutist of the Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra. She has performed at the Saturday Concert, 11 AM Concert, University Orchestra Festival, Artist Lounge, and Inchoon Art Hall Opening Concert at the Seoul Arts Center. She has collaborated with several domestic orchestras, including KBS Symphony Orchestra, Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra, Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra, Gwacheon Symphony Orchestra, Daegu Symphony Orchestra, Cheongju Philharmonic Orchestra, Gunsan Philharmonic Orchestra, Pohang Philharmonic Orchestra, Jeju Philharmonic Orchestra, Prime Philharmonic Orchestra, and more. Yerin Lee has also been invited to participate in numerous events both domestically and internationally, such as the Ensemble Modern, Arts Antonina Invitation Recital (France), the 50th anniversary of Korea-Turkiye concert with the Antalya State Symphony Orchestra, the Distinguished Artists Series of Music in PyeongChang, Japan Flute Convention and Asia Flute Federation. She has also served as a jury member for YMIC Global Competitions (US) and AC International Flute Competition.

In 2014, Yerin Lee was appointed as the first full-time professor of flute at the Korea National University of Arts. She has been recognized for her students’ success in prestigious international competitions in Kobe, Prague, Vienna New Year's Concert International Music Competition, Maxence Larrieu, and Sendai, Japan. She is also a faculty member of the Chung Mong-Koo Foundation Scholarship Programme, where she passionately identifies and nurtures artistic talents in Korea.

Notably, she holds the esteemed position of Artistic Director of the TLi Chamber Music Festival, a representative program of the TLi Art Center, a rare accomplishment for a wind instrument player. This role underscores her contribution to the development of chamber music and expanding its audience base.

Currently, Yerin Lee is not only a professor at the Korea National University of Arts and a faculty of the Chung Mong-Koo Foundation Scholarship Program but also a member of the Ensemble TIMF, Dolce Powell Artist, the Artistic Director of Ensemble Fl.ex, and a DRAWING THE MUSIC artist. Her involvement spans planning, commentary, and performances.
